About J. Joseph Salon

J. Joseph Salon is not your typical hair salon, what makes us different is our experience and our approach to customer service. We created our salon to be your oasis, a place where you can spend time treating yourself to life’s small luxuries and enjoy your time in an environment where you are the focus of attention. When you arrive at our salon you will have a few moments to sit in our reception lounge where you will be treated to libations while the cares of your day start to slip away. When your stylist is ready you will be treated to a relaxing massage and shampoo, gently easing you into our world, your little refuge from the concerns of a busy life.

Educating You

We believe that you shouldn’t only look good in front of our mirrors and in our chairs, we want your look to last after you leave our salon. A very important part of providing you with the look that you want is teaching you how to maintain that look yourself. Your stylist will show you the techniques and the products that you need to maintain your look and keep that “fresh from the salon” look throughout the week in the office, at the club and at home. You need to look good everywhere you go and we can show you how!

Tools of the Trade

A master craftsman must use an experts set of tools. Hair styling is an art and to perfect that art one must know the tools of the trade. Achieving certain looks takes more than an electric razor and a simple pair of scissors. Our stylists are trained to use a wide range of tools to produce a wide range of styles that you cannot get without the proper tools. Many tools are highly specialized and fit for a very particular application. Knowing the tools and how to use them allows our stylists to provide you with a look that you cannot get at your typical salon. Better educated and trained stylists can individualize cuts for various faces types and are more versed in working with various different types of hair. Higher paid stylists often have more tools at their disposal to create a wider range of hair cutting techniques beyond the basic scissors. With an upscale salon, your hair style is more likely to retain its style as it grows out extending the time needed between appointments
